Safety Advice

  • Nut Free Zone

Millisle PS is a 'Nut Free Zone' and therefore parents should try not to put any food containing nuts into your child's lunch-box.  We have a number of pupils who have been diagnosed with a severe allergic reaction to nuts.  Your co-operation in this matter is very much appreciated.

  • Bicycle Scooter Safety

Please remember that all pupils should walk or wheel their bicycle/scooter up the side path of the school in the mornings and not use the driveway.  They should then proceed to the back and not use the front door for access to the school.  Thank you for your co-operation.

  • Collecting P1 - P3 Children from After School Care

Please collect your children from the school foyer and not at the gate when your children are attending After School Clubs.

  • School Closure in the event of severe weather

If the weather is severe enough to close our school this winter you will all receive a text informing you of the closure and we will endeavour to keep you as up-to-date as is physically possible.

Information for parents is also available on the NI Direct website at
